Birthday Twins

Took these little munchkins out to lunch for their Birthday.
I am so lucky to have these two little spit fires in my life. They were a handful then, and can still be a handful at times, but they also bring so much joy and happiness into my life. Can't believe they are 9 years old. Seriously where does the time go??

Spring Recital

This weekend was full of dancing!
Kylee had recitals both Friday and Saturday, with rehearsal on Thursday. Whew.
She had three different dances, and she was stinkin cute in all of them.

Kylee and her friend Katelyn, ready to perform.

The theme was disney, and the varsity girls dressed up as princesses, and Brooke was over the moon to get her picture taken with Elsa and Anna.

And the pictures wouldn't be complete without a picture with OLAF:)

Winter Recital

It is that time of year again! Recital time. All that hard work and practice pays off on the stage.
This year Kylee is in a pre-competition class. This is a class that prepares them to tryout for a competition team.
They preformed 2 different dances. A Jazz dance, and then a ballet dance.

She also is in a Hip Hop class with the same teacher she had last year.

I only got a video of the hip hop dance. I think she did a pretty dang good job!
(Not that I'm biased or anything... she is on the right side of the stage)

Because she is on the precomp team, she had to perform at two different recitals. And her cute twin brother was her biggest cheerleader attending both!

I love my little dancing queen!

Ellis Randomness.

On Monday's Kylee has dance, so I take Brooke to Caden and she walks home with him while I take her to dance. She thinks she's so big, and she loves being with her older brother.
I think it's adorable!

Ryan has been out of town A LOT! And so I finally decided to get some projects done, I've been wanting to do since I moved in!!
Operation Paint and decorate the laundry room:

And Kylee's room!
I have been collecting decor for her room for almost a year now, and so I finally decided to paint it.
We are also going to put some wains coating up, and I can't wait to show the final product! I am getting close!!

A special day.

Today was such a special day. And special twice over.
My Kylee and Brandon made the decision to be baptized.

Words can't express how much I love these two that my heavenly father put in my care.

Kylee was beyond excited. And in true Kylee fashion, she let everyone know it was her special day.
She was beaming ear to ear as she came out of the water, and then watched her brothers baptism.

Brandon was  a little more quiet about his day. But you could feel his peaceful countenance as he too made the decision to be baptized.

 My sweet twins.

I am so grateful for this little family of mine.

I was lucky enough to have Hanna, Sandy, and Joey come up.

All of the Ellis clan came as well to join in the special day.

I am so thankful for my family, and the support we have. I love this gospel, and that this family is mine forever.

Celebration.

This year the twinsies got to have a party of their choosing. They thankfully unanimously chose to go to IJump. That I could do!
They each invited a couple friends, and we had a blast! I had so much fun watching all the kiddos having a blast.

As tradition, they each got their own ice cream cake.

Thanks to my friend Katie, I survived this party. Don't know how I would have done it without her.
The group shot of the kiddos!

Dresses and Kitties...

Eight is a big age in our household. It is the age that we get to be baptized.
So I took Kylee out to shop for her baptism dress.

We had so much fun! It really gave me a glimpse of life in the future, doing this for her wedding, and freaked me out some, but still had a blast with my little girl. She tried on about 10, we narrowed it down to these three...

She was pretty sure she wanted the one with the pink bow. We went back out to see if we could find some shoes, and she spotted one more dress...
And this was the ONE. She was beeming and there was no turning back!

We have turned into a different family with a pet in the house.
I am pretty smitten by this little 1LB kitten.

Kylee is quite the mom. Cried the first week when I wouldn't let her sleep with it.
I finally caved...

Little Lizzy is the center of attention around here, and poor thing hardly gets put down for a second!
How could you not. Look at that cute face!

Eight years too fast.

I can't even believe that it has been eight years since my life dramatically changed with two crazy, spunky, energetic, funny twins entered my life.

There are some brief moments when I wish that I could go back and steel a moment and hold these precious little babies. Because this picture below is how I remember my life... tired, and exhausted, and treading water!
But just look how tiny and precious they are!?!

They were so much fun, and always kept me on my toes!

These two loved to try my pacience with many messes...
I was always following them with cleaning supplies in tow.

Before I knew it they were all grown up and leaving me all day for school.

Kylee,
You bring so much laughter, joy, and a spunkiness like no one else could do.
I love your passion for the things you love, and am so happy to call you mine.

Brandon, I can't imagine life without your fun loving personality. You are the glue that holds this family together with your tender heart.
Happy Brithday to my sweet, fiery twosome. So glad they came together!
Love, mom.

A early birthday surprise...

This year we got the boys a combined gift, a in ground basketball hoop. So Brandon got his gift a little early, making Kylee a little less than happy that she had to wait for hers.

Ryan and I had decided that we would get Kylee a pet this year, and a cat is about the most I was willing to handle. One of my good friends in-laws, happened to have had kittens not to long ago, so it worked out perfect!

My friend and I picked her up from dance, got some lunch and headed out to the farm to surprise her with her gift.
As we walked around she found the kitties right away! She was in heaven.
I wish that the video we took wouldn't have cut off... it truly was the most memorable moment. My phone had hit it's limit, and cut off right when she asked what we were doing there.
Her reaction was priceless. It brought tears to my eyes!

Here she is with her kitty:

The other kiddos are so in love as well. And I can see that this is going to be an interesting adventure...

Spring Recital.

The day I got home, Kylee had her spring dance recital.
They worked so hard on this dance, and they rocked it!

My little princess is quite the dancer. This year her goal is to get good enough to make competition team next year! She will dance this summer Monday's and Wednesday's 8-12.
Get ready for a dancing fool. :)
