Thirty.

I have survived my first day in my thirties! And I must say, I think I'm going to enjoy this decade. :)
I can't believe I am thirty. My childhood doesn't seem so long ago. But yet here I am four kids, married 10 years, and a year away from my oldest being in the double digits! Holy cow!
But I couldn't be happier.
My little family was amazing to me yesterday.
I didn't have to make one meal, clean one dish, and we enjoyed an evening with great friends.
I feel so lucky to have such a great family, and wonderful friends to think of me on my birthday. All the birthday wishes made my day.

On another note, I have started my third week of my Chicago marathon training. Boy am I missing my running group. My training is a bit more advanced this time around, and the miles are more than I've ever run. Running double digits by myself gets a little old sometimes. I have never really run so many miles alone. I've either been with my group, or my good friend Annie.
But the minute I get out on the road, I am so glad I did. I love to think, enjoy the fresh air, and just enjoy some time to myself. Instead of being scared of the miles, I am going to embrace them!
Yes I do think being thirty is going to be GREAT!

Happy Birthday, a day late. And yes, 30 is great! (As is 31.) Good luck with the marathon training. I know how it is to train alone, but I'm glad you've already discovered that the time to think is really not so bad!
