Chirstmas Eve.

Christmas Eve was a bit different for us this year. In the past when we have stayed home, we have had a big Christmas Eve party. We would go sledding, then head to our house for a gingerbread house making party, eating, and just having a good time with friends.
This year it was just us. While we had a blast, and I loved being with just my family, it felt slightly lonely! We started our day by decorating gingerbread houses.

They had so much fun. The boys decorated one, and the girls decorated one.

Brooke was very proud of her and Kylee's creation:

We have had NO SNOW this winter. Ok I take that back. We had a few inches in October, but it melted by the next day. And since then it has been fairly warm. Normally this is OK with me, but after having such a warm winter last year, I was ready to have a white Christmas!
And we got snow on Christmas eve. It started the holiday celebration perfectly.

We opened our Christmas pj's and I think the kids were happy!
(Happy about the pj's or that Christmas was a few hours away...who knows!)

After watching Arthur Christmas and tucking our littles in bed, we went to work to put the magic together!

Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!
