St. George 70.3

Ryan and I had a little get away down to St. George for his half Ironman.
He worked hard, trained hard, and was prepared for this race. And who doesn't love a little get away?!

On Friday while he was checking the course out, I got to meet up with a friend from high school, and then enjoyed a little run around St. George. Didn't last too long at 3 in the afternoon in 95 degree heat, but it was fun to explore a new city.

Saturday morning we were up bright and early.
These races have the funnest energy! And being the pro championship, there were so many pros there which was so much fun to watch. They are amazing athletes!
Ryan had the race of a lifetime. I was so proud of him. It was so much fun to get to see him swim, bike and run on this course. It wasn't an easy course either. Super hilly on both the bike and run. And he CRUSHED it. Finishing with a time of 5:01
I have a feeling that another 70.3 will follow soon, since he was so close to breaking 5 hours....:)
